ABOUT ME
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who believes therapy works best when it feels both grounded and alive. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and deeply respectful of the complexity of being human.
I draw from evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, and Person-Centered approaches, while also weaving in mindfulness, somatic awareness, and nature-informed perspectives. I’m especially drawn to work that honors your story through symbolism and the ways we carry our histories in our bodies and relationships. Therapy, to me, is both practical and reflective: a place to build insight and make real, sustainable change.
I strive to create a space that feels safe, curious, and nonjudgmental, and where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have everything figured out. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, emotional overwhelm, patterns that no longer serve you, or simply a sense that something feels “off,” we’ll move at a pace that feels respectful and attuned to you.
When I am at home, I enjoy cooking, foraging, hiking with my sweet dog, and struggling to learn how to play the guitar. I consider myself a student of life and love to learn. I have trained in Clinical Western Herbalism and Craniosacral Therapy, and have worked as a teacher and a nutrition educator at various points in my career. I strive to walk the walk as much as talk the talk, and I enjoy incorporating my interests and life experience into my practice.
I am practicing under the supervision of Diane Smith, LPC, License #C7279
